It’s difficult to deal with strong people narcissism Because they rarely see themselves or take responsibility. Instead, they are unconsciously or unconsciously adopting a Cognitive distortion Called Victim’s stance. This allows them to distort what happened. Then they can see themselves as an innocent party of interaction and you as the villain. You are genuinely opposed, but the narcissists have asserted that their version is correct. In many cases, this causes you to question your own sanity.
For example, Lisa and Amy work together on important work projects. Lisa completes half of the project, but Amy is unable to finish her role by the deadline and makes some excuses. Lisa reminds her to be patient and asks Amy if she can help. Amy agrees and allows Lisa to do some of the work. As the next deadline approaches, Lisa realizes that Amy hasn’t completed anything at all. Panic, she jumps in to complete the project.
After Lisa submits the project, she explains to Amy that she is unhappy with what happened. Amy is insulting and tells Lisa that her apartment has been renovated. She is Alcohol addiction. Amy goes on to say that she has a sinus infection and is under the weather. Lisa is confused as Amy never showed up sleepy Or, symptoms of a sinus infection were shown. Lisa is frustrated, but she’s probably found a solution that doesn’t throw away her work. She still felt compassion for Amy and let it go.
The next day, Lisa is called to her boss’s office. She is excited because she hopes he will recognize her efforts in the project. Instead, her boss confronts her about her “lack of compassion” towards Amy. He says Amy approached him the day before to discuss her personal issues, describing Lisa as “cold, isolated, unsuccessful.” Instead of listening to her side of the story, he recommends that Lisa attend a training in empathy and drive her out of his office.
In this scenario, Amy can’t delve into hard work, but instead of talking to Lisa, she comes up with an excuse after Lisa has already done her job. Plus, Amy brings her to cover her truck Fake Stories Just as she gets an excuse to her boss behind Lisa’s back. Ultimately, Lisa looks like a problem.
If this happens to you: First, get the space from this person. Avoid long-term projects and interactions with them. Secondly, you need to keep strong boundary. Do not bend back or take good care of you. This might be a setup. Narcissists need material to misunderstand. Third, they are jealous of you. Perhaps you have a better relationship, a stronger work ethic, or Emotionally intelligent. People with strong narcissism tend to jealousy to those who own things they don’t have. Unfortunately, instead of working with them envy And then act constructively on it, they try to sabotage those who are jealous.
